This beautiful B&B is owned and operated by a wife and husband team, Leonie and Roger. Geckos B&B has been providing hospitality to guests since 2005, and has been voted on Tripadvisor as THE place to stay in Coffee Bay. This lovely couple work very hard to provide you with the most warm and pleasant experience possible. The lush sub- tropical garden encompassing the grounds makes this place nice and tranquil, perfect for relaxation. Roger and Leonie are very personable people and are great conversation. All of Geckos B&B accommodations are private, clean, comfortable, and en-suite! They are all separate from the main house and each room opens to a veranda over-looking the colorful garden. The décor of this bed and breakfast is fantastic. It has a very vintage and cozy feel, with historic wooden furniture and dainty trinkets. From afternoon tea to “period style” furniture, this B&B is something special.
There are two large double rooms featuring both a double bed and a single bed. It comes equipped with a refrigerator, kettle, tea, coffee, cups, and glasses. There’s a ceiling fan and even mosquito nets to keep you comfy! For the families there is a great family suite option. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 and a half bath, an open lounge area, dining area and kitchen, as well as a private deck with a braai. Perfect for self-catering, comes with all the essentials! At the base of the property is a cute garden cottage. It comprises of a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and a living area with 2 sleeper couches for day/night conversion. This cottage is private including its own lawn and braai area. Enquire for pricing.
There is a full breakfast included in your stay and when I say full, I mean full. With fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, bacon, eggs any way, mushroom, tomato, hash browns, toast, a fried banana (for the curious), and of course juice, coffee, or tea to drink! FULL breakfast. They do not provide lunch or dinner but there are plenty of restaurants in the area, and some of the accommodations do feature self-catering options.
